FLASH utilizes three primary Automatic Vehicle Identification (AVI) systems. Tagmaster and Transcore has specific logistical or technical requirements for ordering and configuration:

1. TagMaster

When ordering TagMaster equipment, you must specify the Site Equipment Type (either FLASH or PK). This is critical because the data communication protocols differ between the two:

• PK: Utilizes RS232 data.

• FLASH: Utilizes Wiegand data.

2. TransCore

TransCore configurations are determined by State-specific requirements. Depending on the local infrastructure and regional tolling standards, these can be deployed as either:

• Single-protocol readers.

• Dual-protocol readers.
